While she doesn't look like the conventional trawler, the Heritage 36 is indeed a trawler worth considering. She's a motor yacht configuration so she has a full beam master stateroom (compared to most trunk cabin trawlers, it's a lot larger), a full aft deck (most trunk cabin trawlers have little to no aft deck and what is there is taken up by a dinghy) and then she has a large flybridge.
Inside, the reality of it is that she has the room of a 42 ft. trunk cabin trawler in a 36 ft. package. In addition, she also has a lot more exterior living space with the capability of enclosing both the flybridge and the aft deck; thus, adding two more spacious rooms for living comfortably aboard while underway.
Inside, the reasons to love this boat continue to add up: A salon with an inside helm that has a side door to the deck, a galley down arrangement, two full heads and a private guest cabin forward. Next, throw in beautiful solid teak everywhere; and finally, take note of an ultra-reliable single Cummins 210 with bow and stern thrusters, a generator and an engine room large enough to allow you 360 degrees of movement. With all of these features, you will soon see why these boats are so popular and why they sell fast! The practicality of their layout cannot be beat. Compare the asking price to any other trawler this age and size and you will conclude that this boat is a bargain.
Many of these trawlers have done the great loop and the Bahamas. Don't wait - GO NOW!

Starting forward, the guest stateroom has an offset double berth to port with a dressing seat and storage in drawers below the berth, shelves outboard and a hanging locker.
Next aft to starboard is the guest head and shower.
Across from the head is the galley with double stainless steel sinks, three burner propane stove and abundant storage.
Aft and up three steps is the main salon. The lower steering station is forward on the starboard side with a door just outboard for access to the sidedeck. Forward on the port side in the salon is a bar/counter area which could be used for additional galley space or even for chart work. There is a large amount of storage in lockers below the windows on the port side. All windows in the salon have custom mini blinds and custom draperies.
At the aft end of the salon are steps leading down to the owner's stateroom aft with a centerline queen size berth with an end table on both sides. There are three drawers and three large lockers on both sides of the berth. Additionally, there are two hanging lockers with one being plumbed for a washer/dryer.
The owner's head is forward on the starboard side and features a separate stand up shower with electric toilet.
The entire interior is beautifully finished with teak paneling and solid teak trim with a satin varnish finish. The interior is kept comfortable with three separate Cruise-air air conditioning units each with digital controls.
Very efficient U-shaped galley with plenty of storage:
