DESCRIPTION

1994 Harrison Butler 27' Bermudan Cutter with Volvo Penta 18hp inboard diesel engine. 'Omega Breeze' is something of a unique find - after her construction by the International Boatbuilding Training College (IBTC) in Lowestoft, Suffolk, she came to Birdham Pool Marina and sadly for various reasons was barely used. Her mast still lays in the rack from the day she came. Therefore she now requires re-commissioning but otherwise presents an opportunity as a little used example of just one of 5 units of this particular Omega design built by the IBTC. Built in Iroko on oak frames, sleeps 5 in the forward cabin and saloon, with galley area (including oven/hob) and heads compartment (toilet supplied, to be fitted). Not one to be missed by classic boat enthusiasts.

Construction

  • Triple planked in iroko, glued and screwed to longitudinal oak frames.
  • Solid iroko transom, stem and deadwood with cast lead 2.25 tons ballast keel having grade 1, nickel aluminium bronze keel bolts.
  • Swept teak laid deck over marine ply with varnished teak capping and rails with broad side decks, a particular feature of THB designed yachts.
  • Coach-roof and cockpit coamings are of solid iroko together with the cabin bulkhead, hatches and locker doors.
  • Interior beautifully finished in iroko and mahogany in a traditional style.

Accommodation

  • Forward twin berth cabin with sail locker and stowage.
  • Heads compartment with Simpson & Lawrence marine wc (new and not yet fitted) washbasin.
  • Saloon with port and starboard settee berths with trotter box.

  • Galley to the aft port corner with cooker, sink and pantry and crockery lockers.
  • Starboard side chart table and quarter berth
