DESCRIPTION

1981 Hans Christian 38 MKII

March, 2022: Teak removed from side and forward decks, replaced with new non-skid fiberglass. Aft cockpit Teak still intact, for that classic HC look. See photos for details.

She's ready to restart her adventures....with you at the helm!

The finest example of the classic Hans Christian MKII that is on the market today. Known for both its classic beauty and seaworthiness, this MKII has been lovingly maintained. Hull gelcoat cracks have just been repaired, two coats of epoxy paint and fresh bottom paint. All thru-hulls just inspected and serviced or replaced.

Teak decks just treated with Cemco, interior varnish just touched up. New packing on cutlass bearing.

Her heavy displacement gives her the renowned “Cadillac ride” underway. Low-hours engine (repowered in 2001) is a testament to her sailing ability. She is a Baja Ha Ha veteran who found her home in Mexico in 2017, after 18 years of coastal cruising in California.

She sits at her slip awaiting her next owners who can take advantage of her location on the shores of the world’s aquarium in the Sea of Cortez and all its wonderful anchorages.
