Calypso’s Mermaid is a serious boat for serious sailors who want to do some serious cruising and not worry about their boat being able to take what Mother Nature dishes out. With all the creature comforts of a well-equipped live aboard yacht, she is no dock queen. She carries plenty of fuel to get you where you want to go when not sailing, a water maker for when you’re offshore and 350 gallons are just not enough, and extra refrigeration/freezer for long journeys. Her nav station is meant for true navigation, with redundant electronics and plenty of chart space. She has a large center cockpit, with companionways from the salon or aft cabin, but walk-thru configuration allows aft cabin access to the salon without having to go on deck.
