Brokers note:
I collected this boat from Poole and brought it round to Lymington by sea. Conditions were choppy, with a moderate easterly wind on our bow. As we left Poole Harbour, I thought we'd be in for a slightly uncomfortable and potentially wet ride, however, as I opened the throttle and the boat roared up onto the plane it became clear that this boat has a very special hull indeed. It pushed through the chop with ease, and even at 30 knots it pushed through in comfort, without the slightest hint of a bang, and completely dry. It felt stable, comfortable and safe, even when pushing through the chop at a reasonably high speed. It was certainly very impressive. We maintained a constant 22-24 knots all the way back which was relaxed, quiet, comfortable and very economical at only around 32-35 litres per hour. When we reached Alum Bay, and the shelter of the island provided some flat calm waters, we were able to reach just under 40 knots and at those speeds it felt well planted and comfortable.
The cockpit is perfectly laid out for a leisurely day in a quiet bay. With easy circulation around the deck, easy access to everything you need on deck, and great protection from any breezes thanks to the wraparound windscreen. She's a really lovely coastal sportsboat, with a very impressive hull.
