The Galeon Galia 990 can sleep up to 6 guests accross three double berths. The main cabin is found mid-ships, the saloon table drops down to make a second large double bed and the third double is found in the cockpit, where the cockpit table also drops down to create the third double berth.

The boat has a U shaped seating area on the aft deck with deck bar and sink. the lounge has an electric dining table that lowers to create a double berth/ sun pad.

The galley is fiitted out with a 12/240V fridge, diesel hobs, sink and blue Corian work tops.

The head has a shower and sink unit with a jabsco toilet and holding tank.

Overview

This Galeon Galia 990 was built in November 2003 to a 2004 specification, a lovely and versatile sports cruiser. She is fun to drive and a pleasure to live on.

Decks

The hull, decks, arch and superstructure are finished in white non slip GRP. The electric anchor windlass has push button controls at the windlass or from the cockpit with over 30mtrs chain.

The aft deck has a shore power connection for 240V on board with UK power points throughout.

The swimming platform is a lovely feature with teak flooring and provides easy access for boarding from the pontoon through to the saloon, it can be used as a seating/swimming/fishing area with a hidden built in swimming ladder.

Saloon

Comes with teak flooring on the deck saloon, cockpit and on the extended bathing platform, comfortable accommodation for 4 persons and well designed for leisure activities. The seating converts to a double bed under canopy for 2 additional persons or a large daybed for relaxing. This bed also converts to a large dining table with U shaped seating around. The deck saloon has plenty of storage under the seating and cupboards and has a wetbar with Corian sink unit.

The below deck saloon/dining area is finished in teak with blue fabric seating and an electric raise/lower dining table allowing for a conversion to a double bed. The galley has a stylish worktop in blue Corian with curved teak cupboards and built in lighting. The ceiling has fitted downlights providing a stylish interior effect. A TV/Antenna unit has been added. The portholes and windows all have fitted sliding curtains, Eberspacher built in heating system throughout

Galley

The galley is adjacent to the dining table, the cooker works on 12v and is diesel powered from the main tank, no gas bottles reqd. The eye level cupboard has a Microwave fitted. The marine fridge switches from 12v and 240v automatically.

Head

The head also has a blue Corian sink unit with mixer tap shower attachment and shower trap pump out, a Jabsco marine toilet connected to a built in gauged holding tank and pump out facility. There are various storage cupboards for bathroom items.

Helm

Seating at the helm is for 2 persons in white plastic comfortable padded cushions with drinks holders, there is also a portside seat and all seats have good all round visibility.

The front canopy rolls up easily for ventilation. The dual throttle control is easy accessible and there is a Lowrance plotter, a Garmin Echomap plotter, a compass, built in Raymarine depth sounder and speed log, a row of 12V backlit switches gives full control over all systems, full engine monitoring gauges with fuel and water. The trim tabs and outdrive position buttons are used to trim the boat and setup planing for higher speeds. The bowthruster has a joystick control with isolator and a Standard Horizon DSC VHF is located on the portside.

Engine room

Access to the engine room is through a large hatch built into the cockpit floor, a pressure cylinder allows easy opening. There is an access platform for ease of maintenance work.

The 2 KAD43 engines provide 260HP each giving 520HP in total. There is a large hot water tank heated both from the port engine and shore power and has pressurised hot and cold water throughout. There are 4 large batteries 110AH split for engine starting and domestic use with a separate charger for each. The 3KW inverter has its own distribution points and can be remotely switched on/off from the galley. An automatic bilge pump is provided under the bilge flooring.
