The Frances 26 is a most capable design, definitely a small cruiser with a wide horizon, originally designed by Chuck Paine for his own use as the smallest sailing yacht that would be safe for offshore cruising. Although well suited to serious passage making, their modest draft and easily handled sailplan also makes them ideal for exploring the shallow waters of the East Coast and beyond. Matty is a well-maintained cutter rigged version of this popular design presented for sale in very good overall condition. She also has a very impressive inventory including an upgraded 16hp Beta twin cylinder diesel engine, together with recent copper coat and nav equipment.
