Weddel is a sloop sail yacht built by Bruce Farr and launched in 1996. Her exterior is styled by the in-house
Farr Yacht Design team who are also responsible for the entire engineering package.
This Farr designed Grand Mistral has sailed all the oceans, including taking part in the 2015 Rolex Middle Sea
Race (finished 33rd overall from 99 entries) and the ARC.
Weddell contested the 2017 Cape to Rio race in January, finishing 17th overall, and the Transpac Race in July,
placing ninth from nine in Division 1, after sailing almost around the world to start.
Her last competitive race was the 2019 Fastnet and shes been rested since then
She can apparently generate speeds of up to 30 knots and has certainly put in the ocean miles
