The main accommodation offers up to 6 berths in 3 cabins with excellent head room throughout. In addition, Concorde is fitted with the optional aft crew cabin which is fitted with two single berths, wash basin and marine toilet, although her current owner finds this very useful for storage.
FORWARD OWNERS CABIN: Double Island berth with dressing area, wardrobe, lockers and drawers providing ample storage. Opening portlights and hatch to foredeck with Oceanair fitted blind. Access to en suite.
EN SUITE: En suite compartment recently refitted to an excellent standard with Corian work surfaces, shower area with custom fitted shower curtain, wash basin and electric freshwater flush marine toilet (all fittings new 2014).
GUEST CABIN: Twin single berths (an infill to form a double berth could easily be created if required) with wardrobe, lockers and opening portlights.
DAY HEADS: Separate compartment recently refitted to an excellent standard with Corian work surfaces, shower area with custom fitted shower curtain, wash basin and electric freshwater flush marine toilet (all fittings new 2014).
GALLEY: U-shaped galley equipped with SMEV oven with grill (new 2013), separate Eno 3-burner hob (new 2013), extractor fan, fridge, twin stainless steel sinks and ample storage. Recently refitted with cream work surfaces and new fittings.
SALOON: L-shaped seating area with adjustable table, pull out sofa bed (new frame and mattress 2015) and storage to port. Forward is the inner helm with full instrumentation and seating for two whilst to starboard is a sideboard with second fridge and useful storage with LCD TV above. Dual sliding doors to cockpit.
New fully bound beige carpet has been installed throughout in 2016 with complimenting premium quality saloon curtains. The upholstery has also been renewed recently with modern premium quality beige leatherette upholstery (new 2013) and the internal feel is now that of a much newer boat. Eberspacher 5kw diesel fired warm air heating system with 7-day planner and outlets to saloon, owners and guest cabins. Hot and cold pressurised water system throughout. Both heads are served by a holding tank (new 2015 and unused) with deck and overboard discharge facilities.
EXTERIOR: The aft cockpit offers comfortable seating for 6 people with a large aft bench seat upholstered in high quality marine vinyl (new 2014) (additional seating can be provided with removable chairs and there is ample space for entertaining more). Side decks accessed from either side lead forward along safe wide side decks with ample grab rails. Generous foredeck sunbathing pads (no cushions supplied but easily sourced if desired) make the most of available space and are ideal for warm summer afternoons relaxing on the water. A flybridge with second helm position provides more seating and is ideal for entertaining with reversible helm bench and L-shaped seating areas, all reupholstered in 2014 and lightly used since. A large cockpit lazarette provides storage and also houses the remote start HFL 6kw diesel generator.
Located under wheelhouse sole, twin Volvo TAMD61A turbocharged 306hp marine diesel engines. Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Dual single lever controls at both helms (new flybridge throttles and cables 2015). Wheel steering. Shaft drive via gearboxes to bronze propellers (new shafts, propellers and cutlass bearings 2015). 2 x 140 gallon (636 litre) stainless steel fuel tanks (new 2010). Volvo Penta upgraded fuel filters. Full engine instrumentation including temperature, oil pressure, volt, revs and fuel gauges. Lewmar bow thruster for easy marina maneuvering with controls at both helms. Current engine hours are 1085 at March 2016.
The engines have run for 1085hrs since new (as of March 2016), were last serviced in August 2015 and are in very good running order. Although usually used as fast cruising boats owners of similar sized boats with these engines have reported excellent economy at slower speeds burning around 10 litres per hour when gently cruising at 7-8kts in calm conditions.
4 x 12v batteries (all new 2015) charged via engine alternators. Shorepower system with ring mains, upgraded Vetus 26amp automatic battery charger and immersion coil for water heating. HFL 6kw diesel generator (130hrs run since new) in sound insulated enclosure with remote start facility.
Fairline 40 built in 1986 by Fairline Boats Ltd to a John Bennett design. White GRP hull (copper coated 2015), deck and superstructure. GRP radar arch. Flybridge with L-shaped seating and reversible bench seat upholstered in high quality marine vinyl and all in very good condition. Engine room and cabin winter heaters.
Concorde appears to be in exceptionally good condition for her age having clearly been carefully maintained and regularly upgraded since new. She has lived locally for her whole life and has very good history with no significant accidents or repairs known of.
