DESCRIPTION

A very well presented 1973 Fairey Super Swordsman 33 which has been the subject of an extensive refit.

From the drawing board of Alan V. Burnard, this Fairey Super Swordsman is a real classic aft cockpit motorboat, built on the banks of the River Hamble.

The Fairey Swordsman range was launched in 1964 and the Super Swordsman which utilised the same hull form, was introduced for the 1970s.

The Fairey Swordsman range, as is common with the remainder of the Fairey Marine vessels, possesses phenomenal seakeeping and handling characteristics. `Xalon' is now some forty-five years of age and has had considerable work carried out. The cosmetic finish externally and internally is of the highest order. She is powered by the larger six cylindered Ford Mermaid 300hp engines fitted in 2003.

'Xalon' has won numerous trophies at the Fairey Owners Club rallies including:

-      Best paint work

-      Best Super Swordsman

-      Concors d'Elegance (best boat at Rally)

Don't miss this great classic motor yacht - Viewing highly recommended.

The Fairey Owners' Club

Although Fairey boats were built in the '50s until the early '80s, it was not until 1986 that the Fairey Owners Club was founded. Their basic idea, which remains the principal objective of the club, is to preserve the marque.
In its present form the Club organises rallies and events throughout the year, at which there is an easy exchange of information. It also has extensive archive information, which is constantly being added to.
Membership is currently more than 200 and is growing steadily. Although a large percentage of members are based on the South Coast of Britain, there are many in other parts of the UK, including Northern Ireland. There are also members as far afield as Holland, Corfu, Norway and the Maldives.
