DESCRIPTION

The Gib'Sea 33 is a comfortable, high-volume, modern cruising yacht, built by Dufour yachts to compete with the Hunter Legend 33, Beneteau Oceanis 331 and smaller Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32. Although rarely seen due to Dufour concentrating marketing on their main range, the Gib'Sea design is aging very well, with features like her moulded anchor sprit and clean lines making her appear far newer than most of the competition! Below decks she combines arguably the perfect layout at this size with excellent headroom, good stowage, and an attractive finish. Dreamcatcher has diesel fired heating, hot water, fridge, holding tank, bimini, cockpit cushions, transom shower, a Raymarine nav package with autopilot and radar, and is presented in very good condition for her age!

Accommodation

The accommodation offers six berths in two double sleeping cabins plus the saloon, with good standing headroom throughout (approx. 6'3" in most areas).

FORECABIN: Fitted with a generous double V berth, two seats and hanging lockers, further stowage and an opening hatch to the foredeck.

SALOON: The saloon is unusually light and spacious for this size, and is laid out in the traditional style of two settee berths, at 6'6" long they are larger than usually found, with flip-up backs to increase space and provide useful storage for bedding, either side of a central dining table with folding leaves and storage. Six large portlights and a central hatch provide excellent natural light and ventilation.

GALLEY: An L-shaped galley aft to port is equipped with a gimballed 2-burner gas cooker with oven (serviced June 2015 with new burners and flame failure device), top-opening fridge, large stainless steel sink, and storage.

CHART TABLE: To starboard is an aft-facing chart table, with instrumentation, an electrical distribution panel and storage.

AFT CABIN: Double aft cabin to port with double berth, hanging locker, storage shelves, large opening aft portlight, and engine access.

HEADS: Large heads aft to starboard with marine toilet, holding tank with Y-valve fitted for optional discharge overboard, washbasin, shower, wet hanging area, excellent storage, opening portlight, and access to the large cockpit locker.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Eberspacher Airtronic D4 diesel fired heating system. Hot and cold pressurised water system via calorifier with immersion coil. Finished with a Pedang teak interior, teak and holly soleboards, blue velour upholstery and complimenting curtains, creating a very welcoming and comfortable interior.

In 2014 a major service was carried out including a new heat exchanger, tappet adjustment together with the usual full service items.
