This very well maintained Delphia 37 GT was used as a 2007 boat show boat so it has a high specification with dark wood to her three double cabin and convertible saloon interior.
The Delphia 37 GT is very nice to handle, she behaves well in big waves / strong wind and feels very safe and stable. In port she maneuvers easily and benefits from a bow thruster which works well and she doesn't have any prop walk in reverse.
The owners have carried out a number of great improvements to her specification. All electronics are now on NMEA 2000 and all work nicely together - Quantum radar, Airmar log, Fusion radio, big Raymarine plotter, big instruments etc.
Standing rigging and mast have been professionally inspected and fixed/trimmed every year and replaced as needed. Sails are freshly overhauled and repaired including new UV protection to both the Jib and genoa. Engine and Sail drive have been serviced every year. Sail drive was completely overhauled 2 years ago.
On Deck
The deck and cockpit on this Delphia 37 GT are ideal for daysailing, local cruising, or offshore sailing. There’s enough space to entertain, and the folding helm seat facilitates access to the stern platform. It easy to move in and out of the cockpit and around much of the cabin top using grabrails along the part of the coachroof.
There is a sufficiently deep anchor locker and a standard windlass at the bow, and the port cockpit locker is big and deep. The starboard locker is a shallower space suitable for dock lines, boathooks, and other quick-grab items.
Belowdecks
The Delphia 37 GT combines first-class workmanship with neatly finished fiberglass and proper backing plates behind the deck fittings. The hull is cored with closed-cell foam from the waterline up, and a grid in the hull carries rig stresses. The builder has paid close attention to important plumbing and wiring details. All the hoses are double-clamped and routed carefully to avoid chafe, and the through-hull fittings are bronze. Wiring runs through conduits, and the wire ends have numbered labels and heat-shrink-covered terminals.
The joinery in this Delphia 37 GT is neat, well-fitted, and nicely finished. The starboard settee is L-shaped and the port one is straight, giving lots of seating space around the central table, where the mast support bisects the space. The sleeping cabins are attractive.
The L-shaped galley has a round aluminum sink, pumps for fresh and saltwater, and a gimbaled stove. The nav table has space for a standard chartbook.
The design of the cabins in this Delphia 37 GT has allowed for plentiful grabrails and high shelf fiddles. The head compartment is simple and will be easy to clean. Some might prefer a bit more elegant look in this space, but it’s efficient and functional, right down to the holding tank’s gravity drain.
Brokers Comments
Designed by Andrzej Skrzat the Delphia 37 is a boat built with careful, strong construction, plentiful headroom, an efficient and comfortable deck and cockpit layout with enough space to entertain, a folding helm seat that facilitates access to the stern platform and great responsiveness under both sail and power.
It would be difficult to find a similarly equipped boat of the size of this Delphia 37 GT in Northern Europe.
