'Samphire' is a charming classic sloop, built by the highly regarded East coast shipwright G.E. Cardnell of Steeple in 1934. Her moderate draft and sea-kindly manner make her ideal for exploring shallower waters, whilst being easily handled thanks to her simple rig. She has been subject to a thorough four-year refit in,and she is presented in excellent all-round order ready for her next owner (2016 survey available) . Her impressive inventory includes hot water, a rebuilt engine, recent standing and running rigging, shore power and more. We would recommend an early viewing to avoid disappointment, and a 10m leasehold berth at Burnham Yacht Harbour is also available separately if required.

Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to four berths in two cabins, with sitting headroom. Forepeak consisting of a twin V berth with marine toilet (new 2015) and stowage lockers beneath, and opening hatch to foredeck. Saloon with settee berths to port and starboard, with useful stowage areas. Galley aft to port equipped with an Origo single burner stainless steel spirit stove (new 2015), sink with hot and cold pressurised water supply (all new 2015) and useful stowage. Engine box to starboard with navigation gear above, useful for chart work. High quality blue upholstery (new 2015 inc cushion foam) throughout. All internal woodwork has been sympathetically restored whilst also updating the surprisingly spacious interior to increase comfort and practicality. Vintage lights have been updated and fitted with LED bulbs, and modern comforts like shore power and an inverter have been installed for convenience.
Spars and Sails
Fractional rigged Bermudan sloop. Solid Spruce mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2016). Terylene running rigging (new 2016). Roller reefing mainsail. 2 x Sheet winches on coachroof. Halyard winch on mast.
Electrical Systems
12v 110ah Battery charged via engine alternator. Shorepower system with power socket, immersion coil for water heating and Maypole 3.8a automatic battery charger with battery monitor. 2kw inverter with changeover switch. Full LED cabin lighting.
Mechanical Systems
Located in engine box to starboard, Lister Petter AC1 single cylinder 6hp air cooled diesel engine with variable electric ventilation system for cooling. Electric start. Belt drive to shaft with variable pitch propeller (including sailing position for reduced drag). Stainless steel 14L fuel tank. Stainless steel engine drip tray.
Although the current engine hours are showing at 1341 hours this is due to the meter being replaced with a second-hand gauge. The engine is believed to have only run for around 250hrs, has had a major overhaul as part of the refit and has only run for around 50hrs since. It appears in excellent cosmetic condition and the installation has clearly been carried out by an experienced engineer regardless of cost.
