About this Custom Laurent Giles Columbia Class sloop
Wooden Ships Comments on this Laurent Giles Columbia Class sloop Laurent Giles Columbia Class sloop designed by Laurent Giles as an affordable, capable and easily handled cruising boat. The design has a reverse sheer to increase internal space, deep self draining cockpit, and water tight bulkheads fore and aft which act as dry stowage space but also as collision bulkheads. She is a mini blue water cruising yacht and far more capable then her dimensions suggest. Bought by the present owner from the chap who built her. She requires a small amount of work including a cosmetic tidy up to make her ready for the summer, but she appears to be structurally sound. Also available for purchase by separate negotiation is a very good quality single axle road trailer that fits the boat very nicely, making her a very cost effective way of getting afloat this summer.
