DESCRIPTION

Wooden Ships Comments on this Kim Holman 26 The Holman 26 is another of the very successful small boat designs to have been penned by Kim Holman and has notable similarities to the Stella and the larger Sterling. They have a reputation for seaworthiness and capability above and beyond their small size. This boat was bought by the present owner in 2014 and was immediately given to the yard to start a refit. The interior joinery was removed, the boat lifted off her keel and all throat bolts and keel bolts replaced, as well as repairing all the cracked frames and replacing all garboard screws. Since that first intensive period of refit she has been steadily improved and upgraded, both in terms of her cosmetics, gear and structural integrity. This has included new sails, standing and running rigging, new caulking in places, alterations to the joinery and a complete strip back and repaint. A full and detailed list of the work carried out is available upon request. It is likely she is now one the best and most attentively cared for examples of the Class to be found and comes with a very complete inventory of equipment so she really is ready to go sailing. The boat also has a brand new heavy duty road trailer which could be purchased separately if required by a new owner.
