Cygnus II is a 1930 William Krumholz designed and Jakobson & Peterson built classic 56' Flattop motoryacht, with similar styling to Elco and Trumpy. She is owned by a very experienced and knowledgeable yachting couple who have decided it is time to move on to other life projects. If you are looking for a classic yacht that turns heads in any harbor, Cygnus II meets that requirement. She has been recognized at numerous prestigious shows, most recently as People's Choice winner at the 33rd annual Antique and Classic Boat Festival at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD. Cygnus II has also been featured in several yachting magazines. She has been successfully chartered previously, but she is now used privately by her present owners. Cygnus II offers numerous upgrades, like her Yanmar 170 HP main engines, but her owners have also tried to maintain her classic equipment in working order.
From the hardtop covered aftdeck, you can walk forward on either side deck and enter the interior via the pilothouse. Once inside the pilothouse, you will find a companionway starboard forward to the salon, galley and guest stateroom, helm forward, seating on each side aft and a companionway aft to the master stateroom. Engine room access is via a pilothouse sole hatch.
Headroom in the salon is 6'5", 6'3" in the guest stateroom, 6'3" to 8'4" in the galley, 6'3" in the pilothouse and master stateroom, 6'2" in the master stateroom shower and 6'2" on the aftdeck. The master stateroom port berth is 6'3" long and the starboard berth is 6'1" long. The guest berths are 6'4" long.
Cygnus II offers a full beam master stateroom aft with a double size berth to port and single berth to starboard and an ensuite head with bath/shower; and a guest stateroom forward with a v-berth and ensuite head with separate shower.
The salon offers a L-shaped settee and folding Mahogany dining table to port, liquor cabinet and table starboard forward, storage cabinetry to starboard, companionway to the pilothouse starboard aft, 6 opening windows with screens and curtains, storage closet/pantry port forward and a hanging locker. The classic cabinetry and decor in the salon is truly stunning.
The galley is forward of the salon and full beam.
The full beam master stateroom is aft and offers a double size berth to port, single size berth to starboard, painted wood sole, chest of drawers aft, full-length mirror, 5 opening windows with screens and curtains, 2 portlights, reading lights, shelves, drawers, nightstand, storage cabinet, hanging locker and ensuite head with bath/shower.
The guest stateroom is forward and offers a v-berth, 2 portlights with screens, overhead hatch with a screen, shelves and an ensuite head and separate shower.
The pilothouse offers a full helm forward, companionway to the salon, galley and guest stateroom starboard forward, side deck access door on each side, seating on each side aft, companionway to the master stateroom aft, opening windows with screens aft and on each side, curtains, chart book storage port forward, drawers and engine room access.
