This design from Oughtred was inspired by the Shetland working boats and is designed to be a safe and stable load carrier, easy to row and a joy to sail. She has more beam than some of his Dory type designs making her more stable. The epoxy plywood construction makes for a very light boat so she is easy to launch and recover with one person. She can easily be sailed and handled by one but has space for 3 adults. Complete with trailer, cover, oars and rig, she is a nice package ready to sail this summer. Length on Deck 15'1" Beam 5'1"   Construction Epoxy glued clinker construction in marine plywood. Makes for a strong and light weight hull. Hardwood keel and stem. Hardwood gunnels with a single rowing position. 3 thwarts with supporting knees. Centreboard box with plywood dagger board. Stern hung plywood rudder with a hardwood tiller.   Rig Standing lug rig on an unstayed varnished wooden mast. Full length batten in the foot of the sail. Can be sailed as a balanced lug with boom. Optional jib.
