Wooden Ships Comments on this Fred Parker Bermudan Ketch Designed by Fred Parker and built by Moodys in 1962 to Lloyds 100A1 she was exhibited at the London Boat Show in 1963. She is a comfortable and spacious gentleman's cruising yacht designed to take the owners on comfortable voyages to warmer climes. In more recent times she has been a cruising home for several families who have found her to be an excellent and safe boat both at sea on passage and when nearer shore where her comfortable interior, large centre cockpit and ample deck space make her an attractive base afloat. With her centre cockpit arrangement, a split rig and manageable sail area, she is a very easily handled yacht In 2002/2003 she underwent a major refit in Scotland before heading abroad on an extended voyage and the present owners have added to this good work by updating all the electronics and navigation systems in recent years plus improvements to the plumbing and a new windlass. This is an ideal boat for family cruising and has proved herself over many years and several very satisfied owners.
