DESCRIPTION

Wooden Ships Comments on this Francis Jones bermudan cutter Designed by Francis Jones and built by Staniland in 1966. She is a very spacious, comfortable and well built cruising yacht, capable of blue water sailing with enough volume and space for a large crew if required. She can however be easily sailed by 2 people even on long voyages and will handle rough weather impeccably. The most striking feature is her cockpit which is very large and incredibly easy to move around and work in. Her very generous beam makes for a cavernous interior with 2 double berths and 4 singles in 3 cabins. Major refit in 2019 with extensive repairs to fore and aft decks, plus new chain plates and all new standing rigging as well as a new mainsail. She has been owned by 2 families since new and with the present owners since 1994, in which time she has been a great family cruising boat with voyages around the UK, Biscay and down to Corsica. A supremely capable and comfortable cruising yacht in good solid condition with a documented history of professional maintenance all at a very sensible price.
