"Red Jacket V" is in true sail away condition. She is easily single handed and is a wonderful offshore vessel capable of sailing around the world. If you are looking for a solid, capable, excellent performing yacht that is ready to go, "Red Jacket V" is the one. Oh, and for you racers who like a little comfort, she has a New England PHRF base handicap of 159 with a racing handicap of 168 and a cruising handicap of 180.
Her 2019 survey valued her at $175,000.00 with a comment from the surveyor of "NOTE: This is a unique vessel, in that it is so extensively upgraded that it is practically a new custom vessel." The asking price does not come close to what the owners have invested into Red Jacket V, but it was done out of passion and the love of sailing. I doubt you will find a nicer or newer vessel in better condition and at this reasonable asking price.
She is located in Oxford, Md. Please contact the listing broker, Laird Larrimore, to make an appointment.
Accommodations:
Walking through the vessel from stem to stern:
She has a lovely, traditional interior configuration with the FWD cabin interior arrangement. A nice large master stateroom is forward with V-berth and numerous drawers and lockers for extended voyages. She has shelving outboard of the berth as well as a 5 drawer credenza to port followed by the private access to the head. On STB she has a 4 drawer credenza as well as a hanging locker. Large hatch above for ventilation, teak cabinetry, teak and holly sole and offers 6'2" headroom.
Next is the large head with overhead hatch for added ventilation; The head is equipped with;
Heading aft you enter the Main salon with 6'5" headroom; Here she has the traditional feel of a fine yacht with a U-shaped dinette to port with fixed table and a settee opposite to STB. The settee pulls out making for a larger sleeping berth and offers abundant storage behind as well as outboard shelves. There is additional shelving behind the dinette as well. Tanks are located under the seating areas. Aft of the dinette on port is her large Navigation station, electronics and electric panel followed by a double quarter berth. Aft of the STB settee is her L-shaped galley. Her companionway leads to the cockpit and also serves as access to the engine compartment.
Her whole interior is warm and inviting with her teak and holly sole throughout, teak cabinetry and white laminate headliner with teak support accents add to her charm yet lending to a very bright boat below. All her soft goods below have been redone in a fun green and white stripe. All new fixed ports with stainless steel trim and overhead hatch also add to the light below.
