Corby 29 - Built 2005 - 'HenceForth'

Formally called 'Yes', this pocket-rocket won Cowes Week Overall in 2005, immediately showing her competitiveness under IRC with an endorsed rating of 0.987.

Build using a GRP/closed-cell foam core sandwich, with a cast iron fin and lead torpedo bulb, all Corby 29's are a true racing yacht. Now lying at Port Edgar Marina (Edinburgh) where she has been raced very successfully since 2006. Recent upgrades including standing rigging, carbon spinnaker pole and 2 blade folding prop make HenceForth a competitive boat on any race course.

Construction

Hull and Deck Construction

Female moulded foam cored GRP using isophalic polyester resin, woven glass and closed cell foam. Gabon plywood bulkheads with moulded foam cored GRP furniture.

Keel

Cast iron fin with lead torpedo bulb. 12 x M20 keel-bolts and stainless steel backing plates inside hull. Fin glass/epoxy sheathed and faired onto hull.

Rudder

Aluminium Rudder stock with GRP blade. Edson roller bearings. Custom anodized aluminium "skeleton" tiller with Spinlock tiller extension.

Accommodations

Forecabin with doube berth. Partition to starboard providing privacy for the heads. Main bulkhead with teak trimmed doorway to port leading aft to galley (starboard) and navigation area (port). Galley with stainless steel sink and 2-burner cooker on gimbals. Chart table with chart stowage lifts up to provide access to cool box. Four interior lights and one chart lamp. Saloon bunks, teak/holly floorboards. Main companionway hatch with sliding perspex cover and removable washboard.
