Contest 31 Built 1973, Solid, safe, dependable, sea-keeping cruiser that was designed to be able to handle herself comfortably in all weathers. Thoughtfully designed by Uus van Essen and built by the renowned Conyplex yard in Holland in 1973 she is in rare company for her age and size as having wheel steering. She has been in the current ownership since 2013 and has enjoyed upgrades including new standing rigging (2015), repainted deck and topsides (2014), roller-reefing and lazy jacks (2013), spray hood (2015) integrated autopilot (2016), new genoa (2017), and hot water calorifier (2017) among other things. She is only on the market as the owners are upgrading to a slightly bigger Contest. For this reason she has been priced to sell. £13,500
