DESCRIPTION

Colvic Countess 35 for sale Kent.

This Countess 35 for sale in the Medway  is the most astounding sailing yacht I have had the pleasure to broker.  She Was moulded by Colvic and fitted out for the buyer by Signas Marine through careful ownership she looks like the day she was built someone stored here as a showroom sample.  A true credit to here owners that have owned her from NEW The Teak is pristine and the gel coat gleams. You would be forgiven for thinking the build date was post 2010.

All halyards are lead back for ease of use and short handed sailing, benefiting also from a stack pack lazy jack type system and a deep safe centre cockpit.

Accommodation

Boarding is over guard wires to wide side decks port or starboard.

In to:

Large Center Cockpit

Cockpit has seating for six or more, stainless wheel with autohelm, binnacle compass and a raised arched helmsmans seat. the main sheet is tuned by way of a car that runs across the ship to the rear of the cockpit.

There are large sheet winches on the top of the coamings

The sprayhood has clear roll up panels that creates a dry area for some of the crew. There are engine and autohelm controls fitted into the port side coamings.

Under the sprayhood and forward on each side of the companionway you have a halyard winch a bank of clutches with lead back lines.

The seating and floors are laid to teak.

Companionway down to :

Main Saloon

Down the ladder steps, to port there is a large forward facing chart table with yeoman plotter mouse and red light map light.

To starboard and L shaped under the main steps/ladder the galley has plenty of working surface with a top loading fridge and gimbaled cooker. there are ample drawers and lockers in the base units and additional eye level stowage pockets with sliding fronts   The round sink has H&C running water.

Forward of the galley and chart areas you find the main saloon opens to a large dinette to port and two angled seats to starboard giving dining for four to six and  very comfortable lounge seating within the dinette sofa plus the extra easy chairs.

There are apple stowage bins in under seat and seat back areas.

Turning to port and aft a passageway past the engine leads to:

Master cabin w / Heads

Comprising of a double berth dressing table space and full hanging lockers. Plus the ensuite heads on the starboard side. The full width double berth can be made up either head or feet to aft.

Large opening hatch above the bunk.

The compact heads is nestled in the port side and has a seatoilet and basin H&C water.    walking forward through the main saloon to :

Cabin two W / Heads

The double berth is full width with infill and quite high, this allows it to occupy the widest part of the hull  giving good space. It has a step in the base  and stowage underneath.

Hatch above the bunk.

The seatoilet heads is enclosed to port by a concertina door , however the basin is in the main space of the cabin allowing for a little more space when washing dressing etc. Hanging locker behind the basin.

Navigation

This craft benefits from an ongoing regime of renewal and upgrades

ranging from radar circa 2001 to autopilot in 2017

Rigging And Sails

The Standing rigging was designed over spec, as the owner specified long passage making and blue water sailing.

The sails are stored ashore annually  and professionally cleaned as required.

Hull, Deck, Safety And Canvas

This ship is looked after and cleaned with every use of the boat, meticulous attention is paid to her over the winter, she is lifted and winterised in a scaffold and wrap  each year. the efforts to keep her looking new can only be appreciated when viewing.
