DESCRIPTION

The UFO 31 is a great cruiser racer and this particular UFO 31 has been updated over the last few years including a new Beta 20hp engine 2009, hull epoxied, sprayhood and cockpit cover 2012, Furlex 200S roller reefing system 2015, new sea water pump and new shaft seal in 2019, deck repainted, new aerial, new deck/steam lights, all in 2020. In great condition throughout she is ideal as your first boat.

Flying Saucer is a sea-worthy and easy to handle boat even in the rough weather. We were sailing the North-West coast of Scotland. She took us safely as far as St Kilda, Outer Hebrides and North Scotland.

Loved, well maintained and very clean boat. Well equipped with good sails and reliable engine. She is a great little boat for exploring the seas.

The boat has been fully maintenance every winter out of the water. The hull under the water line has been antifouled every year using International Micron2.

The hull has been washed and polished, shaft's anodes changed regularly. New propeller installed in 2018.

The mast has been taken down twice for the last 5 years and full check of standing rigging done by the owner. Running rigging taken down and washed annually. New aerial and deck/steam light in 2020.

Engine has been serviced annually by the owner with new raw water pump and shaft seal installed in 2019.

Various cosmetic repairs have taken place during the ownership, that includes: fixing deck and hull leeks and cracks, service of the sprayhood and cockpit tent, service of guardrails, safety equipment, dinghy, sails etc.
