Celestial 48 Ketch. Centre Cockpit cruiser designed by Bryce Fuhriman /Ted Brewer. In current British ownership since 2007 – A powerful and very well equipped Blue Water Cruising Ketch that benefited from a substantial major refit from late 2009 to 2014. Accom for 4/7 throughout in 2 large double cabins (3 in saloon). Holding tank, deep freeze. Re-upholstered 2014.

Additional Perkins M92 notes:
Bought second hand without the gearbox in about 2011.
Sent to Golden Arrow in Southampton to be checked.
Golden Arrow service manager said that it was as good as the day it was made, good oil pressure, no smoke or water vapour in the exhaust.
Since installation the owner has serviced the engine yearly himself, last service September this year.
Oil pressure still good and little or no oil used.
The engine hours are unknown.

She was brought back across the North Atlantic to the UK in 2009 and she proved to be an excellent sea boat.
Major refit started in 2009 and carried out the following finishing in 2014:

Replaced the engine with a 24v Perkins M92 with a new PRM500 hydraulic gearbox.
New duplex propshaft with a new tube, cutlass housing, Tides marine shaft seal
Replaces the Generator with a new Beta Gen7 with an acoustic cover.
New copper fuel lines with Racor 500 twin filter for main engine and Racor 500’s for the Generator and fuel polisher.
Twin 12v 100A alternators with a Adverc controller.
Adverc 12v to 24v electronic battery chargers for engine batteries (2 x 10A).
Rewired for 230vac with an isolation transformer and a Victron multiplus 3600/120.
New twin coil 25l calorifier with 230vac immersion heater.
125l Tek Tank holding tank with 2” gravity discharge and pump out facility.
Refurbished 230vac Seafresh watermaker plumbed in.
All new domestic battery’s and cabling (95mm for inverter).
Teak side decks and balsa core removed and replaced with Epoxy Glass over Corecell.
New vertical Quick windlass fitted with new chain pipe.
New custom stemhead with twin rollers.
Steering system rebuilt with new Lewmar engine controls, all bearing renewed, new stainless-steel cables, new rudder top and bottom bearings. Rudder split and rebuilt and a new custom stainless rudder heel fitting.
New Stainless bathing platform with integrated five ste p swim ladder.
Superstructure, decks and bulwarks sprayed with Awlgrip Matterhorn white paint.
Underfoot deck areas painted with Dulux Gardenia textured masonry paint.
Gas locker door replaced, gas regulator and pipework replaced.
New pocket sprung split mattress with three lee cloths in aft cabin.
New thermostatic shower control in aft heads.
New Jabsco compact toilets fitted to both heads.
Lewmar Ocean 70 hatch fitted to fore Cabin.
All 15 Portlights replaced with custom Stainless Steel ones with fly screens.
Force Ten American standard 3 hob cooker with oven and grill fitted.
Galley rebuilt with new formica worktop and extra drawers and cupboards.
Frigiboat keel cooled compressor fitted to new top opening Deep Freeze.
Dometic stainless front opening fridge with air cooled compressor fitted.
All new Alcantara type cushions fitted to the Saloon and fore cabin.
Most light converted to 12v LED type.
Dometic Cruseair 9000btu reverse cycle air conditioning in aft cabin.
Dometic Cruiseair 16000btu reverse cycle air conditioning in the saloon/fore cabin.
