DESCRIPTION

     NUMBER ONE

                                    She’s in The Mediterranean!

Caloco is the number 1 hull of the Catana 58s and has many of the features of the 582. She is the owner’s version with a tender lift. The boat has been well maintained with only three owners and has not been chartered. We have held her since 2006. “Calico”   represents a great opportunity for an astute buyer wanting a sound, fast sailing catamaran.

Calico has been our home for six months of the year for the past 13 years. But time moves on and so must we. Reluctantly we offer Calico for sale.

She was the first 58 foot hull built by Catana and has many of the features of the 582.

The Owners Version layout is perfect with the starboard hull given to a double master-suite, large bathroom and toilet and generous storage while the port hull provides two large double cabins and a bathroom.

The sheer spaciousness, the comfortable stability afforded by two hulls, the generator, watermaker, fuel capacity, tenderlift and fast large dinghy allows you to be independent of marinas and harbours for the whole season.

The Tenderlift hydraulic tender platform makes launching and retrieving the 4.5 M Lomac dinghy with its  30 HP Yamaha very easy and convenient.

Of course, she is a great sailing boat. The Catana design and construction make the boat among the fastest, safest and strongest of production catamarans.  It is also so well equipped that sailing long distances, short-handed is easy.

So, after 13 years, the only regret we have is that circumstances force us to sell her.

A buyer looking for a catamaran of this size and quality would expect to pay € 2 Million plus for a boat that is new or near new. Calico is nearly 20 years old. The Catana yard did a major refit for us in 2007. Since then we have maintained her in good order and all routine maintenance and servicing has been done in a timely manner. While she is a very sound boat in good order, she will again need some more extensive work over the next few years, - work that we are no longer able to do ourselves. This, and the fact that the boat is not VAT paid, is reflected in the asking price.
