The Italian Job was built in the first year of the Riva Junior model with the last one coming out of the yard in 1971 just 15 centimetres longer than the original few built in 1966. A total of 609 Juniors were built during that time using the Riva V8 offering up 180 HP and offering a maximum speed of 67 kph and weighing in at 326 kgs which is almost a third of the weight of the boat.
We are delighted to have The Italian Job back in the yard. Previously she was purchased by the current owner on the first day she arrived in the yard for sale. He has been enjoying using her for the past three years in Lymington. However his main passion is sailing so the Riva is looking for a new home.
Of course when you buy a Riva you are joining an exclusive club which has included the likes of Brigitte Bardot, Peter Sellers, Britt Ekland and many more. If you are interested in joining there is an active club in Italy and you would be welcomed at rallies all around the world.
