Construction

The Nicholson 32 was designed in 1962 by Peter and Charles Nicholson of Camper & Nicholsons, then one of Britain's most prestigious custom boatbuilders, as a good value mid-sized cruising boat.
The Nicholson 32 was the first time the company had set up series production, and early boats were completed by an aircraft company under contract, as Nicholson's yard was not set up for mass production.
Hull
The hulls were all moulded by Halmatic, and from 1966 onwards the boats were both moulded and completed by Halmatics.

The design went through many minor modifications over the years from Mk I to Mk VIII,
The cockpit is deep, safe and self draining.

Accommodation

Accomodation for 5 persons in two cabins (includes the saloon)
The forward cabin has two single berths in the usual 'V' configuration.
Just aft of the forward cabin is the head with sea toilet to port and wash hand basin to
starboard.
The saloon has one single settee berth and one double berth. A single sea berth is to port just aft of the chart table.
Within the saloon there is a dining area that will seat a full crew. This area is local to the galley for ease of catering and entertaining.
The galley is to starboard at the after end of the saloon and equipped with a gimballed Taylors Parafin 2 burner cooker at the end of the saloon to port.
