The Broom 42 is designed and constructed as a medium range offshore motor cruiser, however the folding radar arch enables the boat to pass under most bridges if cruising the River Thames.

Lady Melanie offers a very high specification including bow and a new stern thruster, 4kw generator and Raymarine navigation package fitted in 2013.

The aft cockpit canopy cover, large sun pad and underwater mood lighting are recent additions.

Internally the contemporary design offers smart stylish decor with neutral carpets, curtains/blinds and cream leather upholstery.

Designed by Andrew Wolstenholme, the Broom 42cl is a good fast cruising seaboat which is capable of, and most suitable for, cruising the inland waterways of Europe. With the capability of speeds up to 28 knots and cruising speed well in excess of 22 knots, the 42 is a truly serious cruising boat with the excellent handling qualities, comfort, and superb finish on which Brooms have built their reputation.
