Owner's Remarks - "I have owned and sailed "Mouette" since 2005. The typical sailing areas have been the Solent/Isle of Wight and along the South Coast to the West Country, with occasional trips to the North Coast of France, around the Cherbourg peninsular and the Channel Isles. "Mouette" has been sailed mainly with a crew of two or three which is ideal for this size of boat. She has also been sailed single handed around the Solent and, with the sheets and reefing lines led back to the cockpit, sailing her single handed has been very feasible. For the last two years or so she has been sailed infrequently and therefore it is no longer appropriate for me to keep a boat for my own personal use."

Engine & rigging & electrics

Volvo MD2020B 1996 18HP 14kw diesel shaft driven inboard engine, 3 cylinders, fresh/seawater cooling dual circuit, hours run approximately 50 hours each year, cruising speed approximately 5 knots, maximum hull speed approximately 6.8 knots, 3 blade fixed propeller, Ambassador Marine stripper rope cutter, engine alternator.

Engine oil and filter changed each year, gearbox oil changed, cooling water pump impeller changed each 2-3 years, shaft anode replaced annually, fan belt tightened/replaced as necessary, sea water strainer cleaned as needed. All carried out by owner.

Rigging: Mast and boom, forestay replaced 2015, shrouds and backstay replaced 2018, slab reefing, 2 x Lewmar self tailing 2 speed winches, one Lewmar 2 speed halyard winch, Gib genoa furling.

Sails: Mainsail and stack pack 2012, Genoa 2015 both by Arun Sails.

Electrics: 2 x 12v 2018 batteries, shore power.

Water system: Atwood 1.5kw electrical & heat exchanger water heating.

DECK: 25 lb. CQR anchor, stern ladder, warps and fenders, bilge pumps, spray hood and dodgers.

NAVIGATION: Plastimo compass, Simrad speed, Simrad wind, Philips/Simrad GPS with repeater, Simrad/Robertson echo sounder, Icom VHF, Raymarine ST, All Simrad data.

SAFETY: Horse shoe life buoy, fire blanket, fire extinguishers - expired.

DEFECTS: STW Paddle wheel broken. Engine hours digital display defective.
