About this Bavaria Yachts 37
Bavaria£59,950
The Bavaria 37 is a very popular family cruiser with a proven pedigree. She has roomy accommodation and feels larger than her 38ft overall length suggests thanks to a generous beam. This example has the three cabin layout (plus the main saloon) offering up to 8 berths in three separate double cabins plus the saloon, with good headroom throughout.
This is a well-equipped and spec'd example, 'Trio' has benefited from a considerable spend on renewals in recent years including all-new Tru-Design composite seacocks this year, a new Facnor furling system in 2021, new Mainsail and genoa and stackpack in 2019, a new Webasto heating system, new batteries and a new saildrive seal all in in 2019, and a fairly recent sprayhood and cockpit enclosure.
Accommodation:6 berths in three cabins plus another double in the saloon, well appointed with ample lockers and stowage and seating finished with blue upholstery. Woodwork is of a Mahogany-type of veneer on plywood with hardwood cappings to suit.
Webasto Warm air heating with outlets in each cabin including the heads was fitted new in 2018. 240V AC shore support including 13 Amp electrical sockets and battery charger are fitted and a radio/CD player and a flat screen TV with a JBL sound bar are included for in-harbour entertainment.
The accommodation is laid out as follows:
Forward cabin: A double berth (without need of an in-filling cushion) is provided, ahead of a generous cabin sole area for convenience when dressing. A large hanging locker to port and & similarly sized shelved locker (starboard) are fitted. An overhead deck hatch provides light and ventilation and is fitted with a sun/blackout blind.
Saloon: with 'U' shaped seating offset to starboard and surrounding a large table (provides the base for a double berth conversion). Opening port lights provide cross cabin ventilation and combine well with a centreline, overhead hatch above the table. A flat screen TV and sound bar has been mounted to starboard side of the main bulkhead for convenient viewing from three sides of the table.
Galley: A linear galley, located to port with a deep, top-opening 'fridge and double stainless steel sinks about a two burner gas hob and oven. Generous stowage; with deep-fiddled shelves between closed lockers under the port side deck and large pan-stowage locker beneath the cooker's aperture in addition to a genuinely practical cutlery drawer and swing-bin garbage locker.
Navigation station: Located to starboard, with a relatively large chart table, the cutaway bulkhead immediately ahead of the chart table has been supplemented with a hinged panel to accommodate a Standard Horizon CP180i chart plotter and a Furuno LCD radar display, while the cubbyhole outboard of the navigator's right elbow neatly accommodates the Furuno Navtex and an AIS 'Radar' display.
Twin Aft Cabins: Two mirrored double aft cabins, each with hanging locker and two opening portlights giving good cross-flow ventilation.
Heads: A roomy heads compartment to port with sea toilet, wash basin set off well by a 'Corian' look-alike style of finish to the hand basin and surrounding surface. Two closed lockers.
