The Avance 33 was designed by Peter Norlin and built to very high standards by Avance Yachts of Finland. These boats combine an elegant appearance with first quality construction and are known for being a fast and easily driven yacht capable of blue water cruising, club racing or just day sailing with the family. Her fractional rig with self-tending jib, large main, self-tailing winches and all controls leading aft make single handed cruising a breeze. Her simple interior is well laid out and very functional and her cockpit is designed for offshore sailing.

Sleeps 5 in a simple and practical interior including a private cabin forward, dual settees in the main cabin and a quarter berth aft to starboard. Providence’s interior is built and finished in the simple and tasteful Scandinavian manner with fresh upholstery. The forward cabin features a traditional V-berth arrangement that converts to a double berth, with storage shelves outboard and above as well as locker storage underneath. The private head is aft and to port of the forward cabin. It contains a vanity with sink and a marine head. The main cabin features long settees to port and starboard which can serve as comfortable seating for six or as two single berths. The small galley is aft to port. A “sit-down” nav station is opposite the galley. Between the galley and nav station, there is an engine access door and aft of the nav station is a quarter berth.
Small galley to port:
Great cockpit with plenty of room. Designed for blue water cruising. Everything is at hand and easy for one person to reach while sailing.
The Avance 33 is extremely easy to sail, even single handed, thanks to a narrow beam, moderate displacement, self-tacking jib and a thoughtful deck layout. Her easily driven hull is powered by a tall fractional rig with the self-tacking jib. A huge ballast ratio insures that even though she will heal over early, she will stay on her feet even in a big breeze. She is beautifully balanced, light on the helm and slices rather than pounds through waves; her ability to point upwind will amaze you.
