DESCRIPTION

Remarks : The Pegasus 800 is one of the most popular boats ever to be built. These are builders who brought us the Pandora and the prelude which were super little sailing boats. Gordon Harris was in good form the day that the plans for the Pegasus 800 left his design board. His brief had been to design a fast yet comfortable, easy to handle sailing yacht that could accommodate a family or regatta crew in comfort. The boat has been very well maintained and boasts an electronic navigation package normally associated with larger craft. She is wintered ashore on her trailer every year and fresh antifoul applied prior to launch each Spring. The sails although not brand new have been well maintained and the genoa has had her UV strip replaced in 2014. She even has the stack pack system for the mainsail which is a great aid when single handed. The engine is not the original but an inboard Nanni 14hp unit. Most Pegasus 800 models come with a sail drive. This has a reduction gearbox and stainless steel shaft with bronze two bladed propeller and rope cutter. The interior is clean and tidy with new coverings to the upholstery. The saloon settees have been cleverly modified to convert into double berths. This gives a sleeping capacity for six persons making her the ideal family boat. Accommodation : Very spacious accommodation for a 26 footer. Cabin entered via the companionway. Teak faced marine ply panelling gives a warm and classic feel. The upholstery has recently been recovered in attractive fabric material. The galley is to starboard and features a Plastimo gas fuelled oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Small stainless steel sink with hand pumped fresh cold water. Pull out chart area to port with chart storage and electronic navigation aids. Central table on pole with settee/berths either side. These cleverly convert to double berths. There is an additional single berth in the forward cabin and a pilot/quarter berth at the chart table. Marine toilet in forward cabin. Good storage in hull mounted cupboards on port side. Storage beneath bunks. 12V lighting throughout and opening deck hatch forward for ventilation. Cabin kept warm and cosy by paraffin fuelled wall mounted heater. Inventory : Well equipped boat that includes a twin axle, heavy duty section, braked Trailer. This has a cradle bolted to it with supports. The trailer is currently used to store the boat in the Winter months but with a little investment in the way of tyres could become a road legal trailer again. Also included are the following;  Navigation Aids: Compass NASA Clipper Speed/Depth/Log Raymarine ST50 Wind Speed/Direction Garmin 550 colour plotter Raymarine Pathfinder Radar Northstar VHF radio with DSC Raymarine ST1000 Tiller Pilot Clipper Navtex NASA Clipper Battery Monitor NASA Clipper repeater in cockpit Safety Equipment: Anchor with chain and warp Gas detector Manual bilge pump Electric Bilge pump Navigation lights Clock and Barometer Boarding ladder Fire extinguishers General Equipment: Warps and fenders Cockpit dodgers Boom tent Boathook Engine spares CD/MP3/Radio with cockpit speakers Cutlery Crockery and utensils Mechanical and Rigging : Construction: GRP constructed yacht with white topsides and blue transom.
