Beautifully appointed cruising yacht with precautionary epoxy treatment using International Gelshield coatings. Gleaming topsides with new decals. 6-Berth accommodation with forward and rear cabins. Below decks is in super order. The boat has been cleaned thoroughly including the bilges which have been completely, cleaned, degreased and then coated in Danboline. The woodwork is teak and mahogany and has been cleaned and polished. This provides a classy and warm feeling to the ambience. All the upholstery fabrics, including the foam interiors, have been replaced with nautical blue and will provide many years of comfort.
The boat can sleep 6 in comfort. aft cabin with double berth, two singles in the saloon and a further double in the forepeak cabin. The galley is to starboard and features a gas fuelled Plastimo Neptune oven with 2-burner hob and grill. There is a single sink with pressurised hot and cold water. There is a top loading fridge to keep the food fresh and the beers cold. There is plentiful storage space behind and below. The work tops are cream and in excellent condition.
Moving aft is the double cabin. There is a large hanging space and further storage beneath the berths. There is 12V lighting and opening ports into the cockpit for ventilation. Returning to the saloon and opposite the galley is the chart table/navigation area. This has a swivel seat and chart storage. Also here is the 12/240V switch panel and a selection of navigation aids including, radar, colour chart plotter, GPS and DSC VHF radio. Aft is the heads compartment with moulded sink unit, sea toilet and shower.
The saloon has a large central drop leaved table. You can sit 6-persons round this with ease. There is bottle storage within the table. Further storage is to be found in the hull mounted cupboards and beneath the saloon seating/berths. There are 12V reading lights and a seperate gas lamp. In the bow is the forward cabin with double V-berth. There is a Hanging space to port and cubby hole storage mounted each side of the hull. 12V reading lights and an opening deck hatch for ventilation.
Boat has teak and holly flooring in good condition. All curtains are new and in navy blue. Boat kept warm by a gas fuelled catalytic heater. New gas hoses in June 2020.
Well equipped yacht for coastal cruising. Included in the sail are:
GRP Constructed sailing yacht built by Moody to a Bill Dixon design. Fin ballast keel with counter hung rudder. Tiller steering. Underwater areas have been silica bead blasted to remove generations of antifoul build up and the resulting cleaned area has been treated with International Gelshield coatings in 2020.
The topsides have been polished to a hi-gloss finish and are in excellent condition.New decals applied in early 2020 make her look brand new. Large self bailing cockpit with large sail locker to port. Separate gas bottle locker, vents and drains outboard. Transom with stainless steel bathing ladder and grab handle.
Nice wide side decks finished in moulded non slip coating. Anchor locker with lid and drainage. Manual windlass for anchor deployment. Stemhead fitting with bow roller. Stainless steel bow and stern rails for protection. Mooring cleats bow and stern with fairleads. Toerail mounted midship cleats. Teak grab rails. Deck vents.
Vessel powered by a powerful yet economical Yanmar 3YM30 inboard diesel. Engine is in good shape with key start panel mounted in cockpit. The hour meter is digital and like so many of the Yanmar displays, stopped working some time ago. The engine is believed to have completed circa 800 hours and was serviced in December 2019 prior to lift out for the Winter. The engine and is accessible from both the front and the rear. Fresh water cooled via a heat exchanger providing hot water to the calorifier.
Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft, The 3-bladed, feathering propeller is a thing of beauty and has just returned from Darglow Engineering who have checked her over, polished and greased the moving parts. Brand new anodes to propeller hub and hull.
There is a bank of 2x12V, 120 amp batteries. These are brand new and provide engine start and domestic power. The batteries are recharged via the engine alternator or via a plug in battery charger when attached to shore power. Shore power cable.
Sails & Rigging
Bermudan sloop rigged yacht with deck stepped spars. All lines are led aft to the cockpit allowing for short handed sailing. The standing rigging is not original and it is believed to have been changed within the last 10 years. The running rigging looks to have been replaced on an ongoing basis and is of varying ages but in a good state of condition.
The mails include a semi battened main and a roller furling genoa. The mainsail lives in a boom mounted stack pack which has been removed for cleaning. The roller furling genoa has had a new UV strip within the past 3 years. All sails including the storm staysail are in good condition and will provide many years of decent cruising.
The yacht is rigged for spinnaker use and has the associated rigging and pole. There is no sail however.
