The Invicta 26 is a safe and seaworthy family cruiser with classic lines and long keel profile which offers good performance whilst remaining light on the helm. Often compared to the Contessa 26, the Invicta offers improved accommodation, greater headroom and moulded headlinings whilst still retaining much of the Folkboat inspired charm. Accommodation

The accommodation offers four/five berths in two cabins. Forepeak with hanging areas, removable hammock berth, useful stowage space, Baby Brydon marine toilet, hatch to foredeck and double doors to saloon. Saloon consisting of two settee berths with lea cloths either side of a removable table. Galley area aft to starboard with Eno Gascoigne 2-burner cooker (new and unused) with oven and stowage. Chart table, sink with manually pumped cold water supply and cupboard below aft to port. Quarter berths aft to port and starboard. Blue vinyl upholstery. Carpet and curtains. Low maintenance moulded headlinings.

Sails & Spars

Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast, boom and spinnaker pole. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail. Furlex headsail furling system. Construction

Invicta 26 moulded in 1967 by Tyler Boat Company Ltd and fitted out by Kings of Burnham to a design by E.G.Van de Stadt. White GRP hull with light grey GRP superstructure and non-slip deck surfaces. The hull was taken back to gelcoat, 5 coats of epoxy were applied and then antifoulded in 2008 and she has not been afloat since. Long keel with encapsulated lead ballast. Tiller steering to transom/keel hung rudder. Self draining cockpit.
