2004 Bavaria 32 Cruiser
ESTATE SALE
The Cruiser 32, smallest in Bavaria’s line of family cruising boats, is one of the more ambitious boats I have come across recently. Like its larger sisters, it boasts a very modern hull form with a fine entry that carries the beam aft. It also has a voluminous cabin and plenty freeboard, so it is not exactly surprising when you step aboard and find the boat seems quite large for its length.
In most respects the boat succeeds in realizing its ambition. The cockpit, for example, seems enormous for a boat this small and works very well. There’s space for bench seats long enough to sleep on, high coamings for comfort and security, a fixed table with folding leaves, and a cavernous stowage locker to port. All the way aft there is also a large fold-down transom controlled with gas struts that deploys easily and offers great access to the water.
Likewise, on stepping into the head below you will be convinced you are on a much larger boat. There is ample room to shower and move around in and a dedicated wet locker for hanging up damp clothing—a genuinely nice touch.
Both the galley to starboard, with a fantastic integral trash bin under the sink and the salon are about as large as they could be on a boat this size. The staterooms, meanwhile, have more floor space than you would expect, and the berths are over six foot/six inches long. The aft double has large horizontal area but limited vertical clearance inboard. The settees in the salon are long enough to also double as berths, so there’s still ample space for a nap.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Beautiful interior woodwork, Teak and Holly flooring and matching upholstery and fabric make the Bavaria 32 feel much large and this one still smells like new!
Your can enter the boat through either the port or starboard boarding gate and onto the side decks. The side decks are wide and easily maneuverable fore and aft. Along the cabin top are stainless steel safety handrails. At the bow there is an anchor locker and a teak bow seat. Aft is the large cockpit that can seat a crowd. The cockpit features teak seating and floor. There are closed foam cushions for the cockpit seats and two navy blue adjustable stadium seats. The helm is centered with a folding leather wrapped steering wheel and offer excellent visibility and easy reach for all electronics and controls. Overhead the cockpit is covered with a dark blue Sunbrella bimini, connector and dodger, as well as a removable four-sided enclosure. The companionway is forward with steps leading into the main cabin. The steps lift to access the engine compartment. Facing aft and to starboard is the navigation station and electrical panel. The seat offers under seat storage and the navigation desk opens for additional storage. Inboard is a large storage cabinet. Further aft is the head with vanity, Corian countertop with molded sink, storage cabinets, fold down seat and access to the “wet locker” for drying moist or wet gear. Along the port side is the U-Shaped galley with Corian countertops and fiddles, single large stainless steel sink, ample storage, and an inboard trash bin cabinet. Refrigeration is 12-volt and in the counter forward. Further aft and through a wood privacy door is the aft cabin with large berth, hanging locker and opening ports.
The salon is large with port and starboard settees, outboard storage and wine bottle holders and opening ports and overhead hatch. The centered dinette table is large with two folding leaves. All the way forward is the V-Berth with port and starboard storage cabinets, port, and starboard lockers a small sitting settee port. An overhead hatch adds natural light and ventilation.
GALLEY:
The L-Shaped galley is located aft and along the starboard side of the main cabin and offers excellent food preparation and storage spaces.

Main electrical panel is located at the navigation station.
