BIGMARU was built for the current owner as an upgrade and replacement to his X-50’.

He planned the yacht to be a for family sailing to use in the Mediterranean, in the Atlantic (from his home port in the Canary Isles) and the Caribbean. The yacht is set up to be easily handled and yet still offer good fast, fun sailing.

X Yachts are built with an “in-depth” understanding of the elements which make a yacht sail well.

The X6 is a bold design- a muscular, small superyacht with powerful lines. She has a mixture of finishes including bare teak, clear coat carbon, stainless steel and walnut, all modern, light and fresh looking.

Antifouled and serviced February 2018 - ready for the season and a new owner.

Hull And Deck Construction

HULL AND DECK

Vacuum infused epoxy/sandwich hull, galvanized keel hull girder (as pioneered by X Yachts since 1981), epoxy encapsulated low gravity lead keel.
GRP hull in white with grey stripe.
Keel is cast iron.
Twin rudders
Sleek lines and uncluttered deck with flush hatches
Mainsheet arch in E-glass, white gelcoat with integrated mainsheet blocks, loud speakers and LED down lights.
Deck
Vacuum applied laid teak on side decks, coach roof, all seating, cockpit sole and the inside of the transom door/swim platform.
Large RIB garage in transom with dedicated winch and tie down kit.
Opacmare electro-hydraulic passarelle in s/s, 1.8m long when extended, articulates up/down by 15 degrees, with 2 stanchions, and remote control.
The cockpit arch creates an enclosure and privacy, keeping the boom clear.
Solar panels are placed on top of the fixed bimini.
Twin steering with composite pedestals, 5” steering compasses and instrument pods.

The guest cabins aft to port and starboard, have double berths with storage under, a large hanging locker with shelves and drawers. Starboard aft cabin has en-suite access.
The saloon has phenomenal light and views thanks to its large panoramic windows.
The large U-shaped sofa to port surrounds the table which can be adjusted electrically to form a double berth. Seating to starboard and plenty of storage space.
Bulkhead recessed shelves for books etc with integrated ambient LED lighting.
The forward-facing navigation station is located aft to starboard and has a large chart table.

Rig
Sloop rig. Mast is aluminium painted white. Fitted with furling V-boom by FurlerBoom.
Furl Finder system from Reckmann – mainsail furling in boom, automatic adjustment of the boom angle for maximum ease and control with furling the mainsail.
Furling system driven by the BFE 125 electric motor from Reckmann mounted on the carbon mandrel at the mast end of the boom for a better weight distribution. Motor has high load clutch for safe reefed sailing.
