Govean has been lightly used over the last five years, and with Covid, she has not been sailed for about 18 months. During that time, the owners have had the boat meticulously maintained professionally and were looking forward to sailing again after lock-down.

Unfortunately, poor health has now directed that their 45 years of boat ownership and yachting must end.

The boat is always admired for its Flexiteak deck and enhanced by the Cockpit tent and tailored cockpit cushions.

Driven by the 29 hp Yanmar engine and Flexifold prop, the boat can maintain 6 plus knots atrpm. Sails like a dream, stable and reasonably stiff and manoeuvrable.

Govean is probably one of the driest Legends afloat with no leaks and dry bilges. All windows have been gasketed against water ingress.

Bilge Keel Advantage

Unlike other manufacturers, Marlow Hunter have continued the development of bilge keels. This has been a huge investment but one that provides the end user with numerous benefits.

This keel configuration allows the boats to sit on a mud berth or in tidal harbours and estuaries where the moorings have reduced depth. This keel configuration designed by Hunter Legend has been proven to perform as well as the standard fin keel models.

Mainsheet Traveller Arch

Designed to eliminate the possibility of injury from the boom or mainsheet and to provide efficient control of the mainsail via a very short mainsheet. In addition they enhance safety further by providing a strong grab handle and anchor points for all of the crew. Furthermore they act as a superb support for all over cockpit enclosures, canopies and biminis.
