Accommodation
The accommodation offers up to five berths in two sleeping cabins plus the saloon with good headroom throughout.
FORWARD CABIN: Large island double berth with under-bed storage drawers, two hanging lockers, reading lights, mirror, and shelves. Two opening portlights with curtains and an opening hatch to foredeck fitted with a three-way blind provide natural light and ventilation.
GALLEY AND SALOON: Linear galley to starboard equipped with a SMEV 2-burner gas cooker, combination microwave oven (new 2013), Waeco refrigerator (new 2013), stainless steel sink, and ample stowage. Opposite the galley is an L-shaped settee providing comfortable seating around a dining table with folding leaves, and a settee berth if required. Eye-level lockers and a multi-compartment storage cupboard at the companionway provide useful, easily accessed storage, whilst three opening portlights and a large hatch provide natural light and ventilation.
AFT CABIN: Fitted with a large U-shaped berth (which can be used either as two single berths or as a double if preferred), headboard, and reading lights. A full-height entrance area allows plenty of space to get ready without exiting the cabin (rare at this size) with a hanging locker and en suite access to the heads compartment. HEADS COMPARTMENT: Separate heads compartment to starboard accessed via the saloon or aft cabin, fitted with a marine toilet, washbasin with combined shower, shower seat, mirror, and storage lockers. Opening portlight with curtains.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Hot and cold pressurised water system throughout via calorifier with immersion coil. Eberspacher diesel fired warm air heating system. Blue upholstery, teak and holly sole boards, scatter cushions and complimenting curtains throughout with premium quality teak cabinetry.
EXTERNAL SPACE: The teak-laid aft cockpit has a large U-shaped seating area aft to starboard which can convert to a large sunlounger. Forward, the helm seat and navigators bench both have flip-up bolsters for standing whilst underway, and comfortably providing forward-facing seating for three adults. To port is a wet bar with fridge, sink, and moulded storage for cushions and other items. A good selection of stainless steel grabrails and drinks holders are provided, but designed to be unobtrusive and stylish as well as practical. A lazerette forward gives plenty of space for storing additional equipment, and the large engine compartment is easily accessed thanks to the electronically opening hatch and fitted stainless steel ladder. Moving aft, the walk-through transom leads to a generous bathing platform with hot and cold shower, built-in fender rack, outboard bracket, and a concealed bathing ladder.
Mechanical Systems
Located under cockpit sole accessed via dual electrically switched hydraulic rams, twin Volvo Penta KAD44 6-cylinder 260hp turbocharged and supercharged marine diesel engines. Freshwater cooled via heat exchangers. Dual single lever EVC electronic controls with power trim/tilt. Full engine instrumentation mounted in a stylish stainless steel and carbon fibre dashboard. Volvo Penta Duo-Prop outdrives each with twin aluminium propellers. Sidepower bow thruster. Remote control trim tabs.
The engines and outdrives had a full service in April 2021 including replacement bellows, and have currently run for 1137hrs apx. since new equating to optimum usage of around 60hrs a season (as at June 2021, this will increase during the season). In 2017 her engines were overhauled which included both engine sumps, water pumps, and turbochargers being replaced, along with valve clearances set, and a full flush and clean of the cooling systems (all preventative maintenance measures against common age-related issues).
Electrical Systems
3 x 12v Heavy duty marine batteries (two engine start and separate domestic) charged via engine alternators. Dedicated bowthruster battery. Shorepower system with ring mains, automatic battery charger, and immersion coil for water heating. Galvanic isolator (new 2020). Inverter. Electrical distribution panel in aft cabin with further switch panel at helm. Full interior lighting. Cockpit lighting including additional low-level lights. Electrically operated hydraulic rams for engine compartment access.

Windy 37 Grand Mistral built by Windy Boats to a Hans J Johnsen design in 2000 for the 2001 model year in Norway, first launched 2001. White planing GRP hull with spray chines (epoxy coated for preventative purposes 2019), superstructure, and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Blue topside styling stripe (professionally wrapped 2019). Large teak-laid self-draining aft cockpit. Walk-through transom to integrated simulation teak-laid GRP bathing platform with concealed bathing ladder.
