The ease of sailing fast with a small crew is made possible by the clever design of the cockpit with all lines leading back to within arms reach of the helm, 4 electric winches, electric furling headsail, super easy mainsail reefing, dual electric/hydraulic auto-pilots and a pilot house like no other.

Owner's Comments:

We have had the pleasure of owning East of the Lizard for 2.5 years, and enjoyed plenty of short cruises around top of the Sth Island and a complete circumnavigation of the Sth Island late last year. Offshore plans have changed due to a growing family and we are ready to pass her on to the next keen adventurer.

The vessel has enjoyed good ownership since new. Steve Dashew (designer) and the first owner got together to customise this Sundeer, moving the rudder 3 ft further aft, changing the engine from 88hp to 140hp and building the most enviable of pilot houses. A previous owner sailed her for 9 years with his wife in the Pacific covering 50,000 nm with constant upgrades carried out in NZ each summer. The last owner was a professional super yacht captain most recently captain of the 90metre schooner Athena. (Largest private sailing ship in the world) and has an eye for perfection.

From May to July 2018 the vessel was hauled out at Orams in Auckland and the rig removed for full service by Rig Pro. All new rigging and paint. The hull was professionally vinyl wrapped although the gel coat is also in absolute perfect condition. The vinyl wrap still looks good, although it is probably half way through it’s expected lifespan now.

I have had her mechanically serviced and maintained by TS Marine in Wellington over the last 2.5 years. Some recent improvements are – New hatches, New profurl electric furler for the headsail, New Raymarine MFD and instrumentation, new canvas bimini, full engine service, complete windlass service and more...

East of the Lizard is fully ready for long distance cruising with every conceivable spare part, full set of tools, 3 sets of dive gear etc etc. She is in incredible ‘buying condition’. Owners plans have changed and vessel should be sold.

The vessel is fully imported into NZ with all taxes paid.
