This elegant and solidly built Scandinavian cruiser racer is optimized for short-handed sailing with a self-tacking jib and all control lines led back to cockpit. Volvo Penta 22HP engine is in excellent condition and interior has been extensively refurbished.
Swede 38 is a Scandinavian cruiser racer with a reputation for speed and good handling. She truly is a “sailor’s boat” that can be handled by a couple, yet big enough to take the family out for a few days and seaworthy enough to venture offshore.
Built by the Helmsman Yachts (Stockholm, Sweden) in 1981 (hull number 8059), her construction is in line with the best in Scandinavian boat-building standards. Helmsman Yachts are renowned for their excellent build quality and are responsible for many fast, timeless and elegant yachts, including the much admired Swede 55.
We are completing extensive refurbishment of her interior, including new headlining and new saloon upholstery. She is currently afloat in Chichester Marina, ready for viewing.
