DESCRIPTION

Early one morning in Port Townsend, a flatbed truck crept slowly down the hill and deposited the catamaran of my dreams in front of me. She wasn't mine, but she was beautiful to behold. The story behind her build is compelling. She is a fantastic cruising design. And she is beautifully executed. Taj is drawn from the pen of renown multihull designer Tony Grainger and was constructed by some of the most tenacious and talented builders on this coast. They wrought cedar strip, West System epoxy, bi & triaxial glass, Corecell foam, end-grain balsa, honeycomb panels, figured maple, teak, and Sterling linear polyurethane into 22,000 lbs of truly jaw-dropping catamaran. Taj has super fair 12:1 aspect ratio hulls and 3 feet of bridgedeck clearance. She is sleek, strong, practical, convivial, and incredibly ergonomic - benefiting from a full cardboard interior mock-up just like production cats. Her salon is a cathedral of light and a tremendous vantage on the sea. She is very intelligently fitted out and considerable effort went into assuring she is as effortless to sail as possible. Taj is a crown jewel of Northwest catamarans. Needless to say, I've kept my eye on her as she has moved through the Northwest, down the Coast and into the Sea of Cortez. She is proven but still near pristine. Her original owner is now offering her for sale and I am pleased to be able to set her on her next adventure. Please review the specifications and equipment list below and contact Matthew Dunning for her complete dossier.
