WHITE ROSE is a wonderful and rather elegant vintage launch substantially restored; very sympathetically and in use of materials and fittings to maintain her period demeanour. The engines however are modern and lend considerable power enabling a surprising turn of speed. Given she was probably for day cruising in her youth, there’s space enough for guests in the ample cockpit and al fresco dining area. The attractive cabin below is well fitted out with facilities and accommodation enough to be self sufficient for some days and nights of leisure for two.

History
- Designed by W E Forster
- Built by Louis Gale of Paignton, Devon
- First launched January 1936
- Included in Lloyd's Register of Yachts under official number 162015
The current owner received some pictures from John Holmes, son-in-law of Louis Gale showing him in front of his boatyard and one with his daughter – who later became the first UK female harbourmaster - in Paignton. Copies of Lloyd's Register of Yachts show WHITE ROSE's entries in 1936, 1953 and 1958 all under ownership of Walter Johnson hailing from Brixham and apparently in a senior management position with Tate & Lyle in London.
