Cruising History & Updates

Owners Comments
We have owned her since 2017 and due to commitments and the pandemic restrictions, resulted in very little time spent on her, in fact something like 12 weeks in total. We bought her as part of our retirement planning which has now changed. During the time we have sailed her, she has been a delight, with good sea keeping qualities, an impressive turn of speed and predictable handling. The 50HP engine pushes her along effortlessly and the bow thruster makes those tight executions required in some marina berths easy. Just add water and she is ready to go!

A very good example of the highly sought-after shoal keel version of the center cockpit Moody 38CC that has been very lightly used. Built during 1994 and launched 1995. A widely known pedigree blue water cruiser, with excellent accommodation for comfortable family sailing. Her internal accommodation features a spacious saloon, a good-sized sea-going galley and a well fitted out aft cabin with an island berth and en-suite heads. There is a double forward cabin and a second heads that has access from both the cabin and saloon, with a further single passage cabin. Teak joined interior, complemented by original blue with cream upholstery in saloon (2009).

On deck she is equally impressive, decks are wide and spacious, together with strong deck hardware that includes mid ship cleats, she has a good array of self-tailing winches with a navy, blue sprayhood, complete with s/s grab bar, providing good shelter to the center cockpit. Also, with a foldable cream bimini, protecting the helm and cockpit. A sugar scoop stern complements her attractive white GRP hull, together with a fixed s/s stern gantry bridge, complete with solar panels. Wheel steering.
