'Amazon' is a luxury ketch rigged motor sailer, built by Lidingoverken J.A Aberg & CO in Sweden in 1949, initially to be used as a meteorological vessel for the Swedish Government.
In 1975 and 1989, the yacht was extensively redesigned and refitted to convert her into a luxury super yacht, perfectly designed for cruising with guests onboard, as has been her use ever since.
In 2004/5, the current owners completed a major rebuild to modernise the vessel and turn her into a world-class Atlantic Ocean racer. In 2017, she was dry-docked and underwent an internal refurbishment, with the addition of a further guest cabin.
S/Y Amazon is truly a state-of-the-art luxury mega-yacht, steeped in history, and constantly updated to make her not only a stunning cruiser but also an extremely capable ocean racer. She is now awaiting her next owner to continue her story.
