This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45DS was supplied new by ourselves to her first owner, and then again onto her current owner. It is in excellent condition and has benefited from some extensive refit work to keep her up to date and ready for any adventure. So far she has only been used for family cruising around the West of Scotland. The design of the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45DS is such that it can been easily sailed two handed. The internal layout of this Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45DS is ideal for families, eight berths, with the owner cabin forward with a large en-suite heads compartment and two cabins aft and a second heads compartment with access off the main cabin and from the aft port-side cabin.
AccommodationsForecabin with large double berth. Many lockers and cupboards for storage of gear. Hanging locker and shelved storage. Ensuite heads compartment with closeable shower stall, wash hand basin and quiet flush electric wc. with Seasmart Electric Sanitisation system. Vanity desk unit with stool. Reading lights at bedhead and other good lighting in ceiling panels. Deck hatch for escape and ventilation purposes.
Main saloon with saloon table offset to starboard and seating round three sides. Table and infill cushion to convert this area to a double berth. Settee berth to port. Good light to this area from large windows of deck saloon model and deck head hatches give good ventilation. Long hull windows give clear views from sitting positions.
Galley area at at end of saloon to starboard with double s/s sink units, fridge and freezer units with digital remote thermostat controls, four burner stove with oven and grill. (Gas hoses replaced 2018). Micro wave oven built into worktop cupboards to side of cooker. Drawers, cupboards and compartments for storage of utensils and vitals.
Navigation station opposite on port side with seat at forward facing chart table with switches and controls for ships 12 volt systems. Good storage for books and manuals etc.
Aft heads compartment can be entered either from the saloon aft port side or locked off and used as ensuite for aft port cabin. Both aft cabins have large double berth with good standing / dressing areas. Cupboards, and lockers for storage of personal gear. Good ventilation is provided by portlights and hatches in both cabins.
All windows have curtains and opening deck hatches have the choice of insect or blackout screens and all areas are ducted for the twin Webasto heating system (total output 9.5Kw).
All internal lighting is LED. Additional touch sense lighting above galley and in both heads. Red internal floor night lights.
In mast furling mainsail New in 2018 and lightly used.

Spinnaker pole - primarily used as crane for lifting and lowering dinghy over the side.
All mast running rigging (all new in 2018) is led aft to two coach roof mounted Harken winches. This includes the mainsheet which runs from mid boom to the track mounted in front of the sprayhood.
Two primary Harken 53 self-tailing winches control the genoa sheets at the aft end of the cockpit - within reach of the helmsman. One Harken 44 self-tailing coachroof mounted (starboard side) winch and one Harken 46 two speed electric winch to port. All lines led aft to cockpit. One Harken 44 winch mounted on mast.
