The Hunter Edge is a rare example of a trailerable powersailor with all the amenities of Hunter's full size keelboats. This boat has nearly every option on offer, including pressure water, a plumbed head with holding tank, Garmin 541 chartplotter, TacTic wireless solar depth and speed gauges, shorepower including cable, stereo AM/FM Bluetooth radio with stern rail speakers, the list goes on.
In terms of performance, the Edge includes an innovative swing keel and rudder, as well as 1600 Ibs of water ballast, allowing the boat to sail with impressive stability for a trailerable boat. When the keel and rudder are up, the (professionally maintained) TOHATSU oil & fuel injected 75hp engine allows a comfortable 20mph top speed with normal loads. The sail plan includes a single reef mainsail and furling jib.
Inside, the boat includes sleeping areas for four, including a full sized back berth and a second berth in the bow. Comfortable cushioned benches surround a fold-out dinette, and the galley includes a 12v/120 compressor cooler capable of refrigeration and freezing, a propane stove, and a sink. Large windows with sunshades allow great visibility, and a bow hatch channels breezes through the boat while at anchor. Finally, the dual axle galvanized Road King trailer allows the boat's transport behind a standard SUV, or easy out-of-water storage, saving on costs.
