Nice, comfortable and well maintained yacht. With the design of E.G. van de Stadt and according to the Van Wijk 35's circular line plan. The ship has excellent sailing characteristics and the living space on board is very good. The Njord is maintenance-friendly due to the materials used, such as epoxy, polyester DD lacquer, untreated teak, stainless steel and careful detailing. Lower deck it is nice, it's spacious, there's plenty of storage space and the interior is beautiful light. She is embedded inside with American Oak Woodpecker and massive moldwork. The walls and ceiling are made of white vinyl and sheet material. For those who want to sail and sleep comfortably, the Njord is well-prepared!   General:
Njord, length 10.65 m, width 3.40 m, depth 1.70 m, built in 1994, steel hull, yard built to design and licensed by E.G. Van de Stadt design, steel round-bilge, hull built on bulkheads, deck/Aufbau and cockpit mahogany yacht plywood/epoxy glued fully epoxy and attached screwless teak deck, waterdisplacement 6000 kg, ballast 1800 kg, carpentry in American oak plywood and solid ditto moldings, front cabin with 2 independent sleeps (above 1,80 m / below 2 m.), back cabin with a spacious double bed length 2,10 m., anchor, anchor winch (2004 Vetus) with pole anchor 16kg on bow roll with 50 m chain extra plow anchor, swimming ladder, 4 persons liferaft (2013), sprayhood (new in 2014), 2nd spray hood in winter, lifebuoy, cockpit and cockpit seats are finished in teak with ample storage underneath. The casco is irradiated in and out of construction and sprayed in epoxy. The underwater hull is sprayed again in winter 2006/2007 and sprayed in Interprotec International epoxy system, the hull is professionally painted with 2 components polyester DD lacquer Double Coat.   Engine:
Perkins Perama M30 29 HP diesel engine (1994) with triple coupling ZF 10 M 1 on 2 coupling (new in 2012); solid 2 blade screw on 30 mm grease lubricated screw shaft with floating inner bearing, stainless steel diesel tank, bow thruster, extra: coarse filter water separator, stainless steel water lock and Vetus damper and separate 100 amp starter battery. Due to the heavy foundation, the engine runs smoothly and without disturbing vibrations.   Rigging:
7/8 rigged with tapered mast, sail Hagoort: main sail batten 33m2 with all the trim options and operated from the cockpit fastreefing system, Genoa 31m2 and Hi aspect 20 m2 Profurl roll system with rollerfock cover, spinnakerboom, 2x running backstays, 2 x Harken Self Tailing genoa winches 40 ST and 2 x Harken Self Tailing 30 ST complete with 2 winch handles, drop and trim lines from the cockpit, overflow and genuarails with Lewmar blocks.   Navigation and equipment:
2 x service batteries (2014 new), and 1 x starter battery, 12V, shore power, battery charger, depth gauge (ST 60 Tridata), windset ST 60, autopilot (ST 4000T), Vetus Motor hour meter, AIS-GPS/responder coupled to WIN GPS 5 Voyager of Stentec, VHF radio VHF external speaker, compass (Plastimo Olympic 135), radio/CD player, and stereo speakers, Philips Mach Line flat-screen TV connected to the antenna in the mast head with amplifier and terrestrial modem, navigation lights complete, permanent ventilation with 2 vents,Vetus gas detector/alarm in the cabin.   Gas and water:
Water tank 160 liters, water pressure system electric, heating diesel (Webasto), hot water by Boiler 30 liter, wastewater tank 75 liters, gasbun with drain, hot water boiler heated by motor, RM 69 toilet with a discharge into holding tank, large round sink with mixer faucet and shower hose, double sink with hot and cold water, in the leaf a large well-insulated cooler (new cooling unit in 2015), stainless steel Tailor propane gas stove 2 pits with baking tray and grill plate.
