EA is at the same time both glamorous and functional – Vittorio Baglietto designed in EA a yacht that won the Giraglia Race 4 times and absolutely dominating Mediterranean racing during this period. This of course is a yacht completely at home in Mediterranean conditions and is therefore a frequent winner in her class at classic regattas.
A complete restoration decade ago has rendered EA the perfect all-rounder with rather more luxury than most classic vessels for family cruising and she presents today in turnkey condition.

History
Vincenzo Baglietto was a graduate of Glasgow – arguably the World’s leading university in marine engineering at the time. His career was somewhat affected by the upheavals of the 20th Century – so service in the Italian Air Force in WW I and in WW II; designing specialist fast boats for the Italian navy. Post war he again took up his love for designing recreational and racing vessels; both under power and sail. In 1950 MIRANDA IV, whose design had been largely inspired by Jack Laurent Giles, was launched. EA with the same lines followed in 1953 - the name incidentally deriving from the initials of the daughter of her first owner Guido Giovannelli. EA; a Class I RORC sloop is recorded as four time winner in real time of the Giraglia Race; probably the most important race in the Mediterranean up until the 1970s. During the 1960s EA seems to have left the Med – to reappear on the French Atlantic coast around the end of the decade. Much more recently – in 2006; EA’s current owners found the yacht in Les Sables d'Olonne, near La Rochelle. She was taken by road to Sibma Navale in Imperia to be completed restored. Followingthe restoration under her new ownership she has continued to race and in addition to numerous small local races and regattas has won trophies at five Panerai Classic regattas to date.
