DESCRIPTION

An extremely competent, well equipped and comfortable sea boat with a strong pedigree.
This Picchiotti Nelson 45 Tigress MKII all-weather cruising Motor Yacht is powered by twin Iveco diesel engines, each rated at 270 hp.

The MKII model of this sought-after motor yacht provides and additional 2ft 9ins of beam giving far more internal volume and extremely spacious accommodation for 6 persons in three cabins excluding the saloon.

Designed by Commander Peter Thornycroft, designer of the famous Nelson range of boats, with a true “Nelson” hull moulded in GRP to Lloyds approved scantlings with a Lloyd’s hull moulding Certificate. The hull was moulded and fitted to a high standard of safety, engineering and interior design with Italian style by one of Europe’s oldest established yard, Picchiotti Yachts in Viareggio, Italy, she is the highly regarded Tigress Mark II model.

The hull and superstructure are moulded in GRP and are of-white in colour with dark blue window surrounds.

Heavy duty rubber “D” fendering is fitted at the upper and lower sheer strakes. The aft deck is teak laid, with a non-slip finish on the side and forward decks.

Her equipment and construction are to the highest standards and she gives absolute confidence and an excellent 'go anywhere' ability.

British Part 1 Registered for secure transfer of Title.

Owners Comments

My wife and I purchased “Old Harry” towards the end of 2014. A lovely boat, structurally sound with good engines. I set about refurbishing her for our own use and pleasure. I did not have a budget in mind, however was determined to get it right.

An example of my thinking in the refurbishment - Our first night on board. Well the mattress was worn out, a very uncomfortable night. Remedy, get a new one made to measure. No, not a foam one, a proper sprung mattress. We have always had the most comfortable nights on board since. If anything was not exactly right, it had to be made right.
We have now sadly come to the decision that we should sell her to someone who will enjoy her as we have.
All invoices of the works completed, and recent surveys can be provided.

Construction

Hull moulded in GRP to Lloyds approved scantlings with a Lloyd’s hull moulding Certificate.

The hull GRP moulding is in a lilac gelcoat above and below the waterline, and has been constructed of polyester resins, woven roving cloth and chopped strand mat.

Dark blue antifouling below the waterline.

Dark blue window surrounds.

Heavy duty rubber “D” fendering is fitted at the gunwhale.
The aft deck is teak laid, with a non-slip finish on the side and forward decks.

Bronze rudder blades and stocks.
